WHITEVOID
White Void Berlin – Lighting planning and luminaire development for an interdisciplinary studio
For the internationally renowned design and art studio White Void in Berlin, Fischer & Partner Lichtdesign developed a precisely coordinated lighting concept – in close coordination with the striking architecture by Thomas Becker and Bettina Kraus, architects of Berlin. The studio, founded by renowned light artist Christopher Bauder, works at the intersection of design, technology, and emotions. The challenge: spatial lighting that combines technological complexity, creative freedom, and functional clarity.
Daylight-like light for creative precision
White Void's work, studio, and office spaces were equipped with daylight-like ambient lighting that creates brightness, concentration, and visual calm. The concept is complemented by sunlight-like accents that deliberately emphasize spatial depth and material contrasts. The result is a lighting architecture that is both functional and atmospheric—ideal for interdisciplinary, technology-based work.
Exclusive lighting series for White Void
For this project, Fischer & Partner developed a tailor-made luminaire series, manufactured exclusively for White Void. The luminaires combine minimalist design, high color rendering, and precise light distribution—understated in expression, clear in function. The ability to direct light in a targeted manner creates ideal conditions for artistic work, media productions, and technical developments in the space.
White Void – Space for Light, Technology and Art
White Void is known for translating digital data into physical space. Interactive installations, light art works, staging media, and product design are developed here under one roof – with a focus on clarity, precision, and emotional impact. The developed lighting concept supports this approach and integrates seamlessly into the studio's design and technical vision.
